I have just finished reading ‘Finance On A Beermat’ by King, Macklin & West (2006) published by Random House. I have also given it to our CEO as homework!
It is a nifty little text explaining the basic principles of finance for anyone in a small to medium sized business who has been too baffled or bored to work them out. It is aimed specifically at those entrepreneurs who tend to be more creative than financially minded. I think however it is a great read for anyone who wants to understand what the finance person in an organisation is up to and get to grips with the salient points of the financial information that they produce.
I understand that it is one of a series and intend to investigate the others….
